​Hi, I'm Emily! In 2017, I founded my business, Designed by Em. What began as small commissions for close friends and family quickly grew into something more meaningful as I realized how much I love being creative and using my design skills in both my professional and personal life.

Alongside my design work, I’ve always been a fashion and culture enthusiast. In 2018, I began sharing posts and pictures from runways and red carpets on social media, simply to share what I love with my peers. Over time, my “reviews” gained more exposure as people began sharing my content and engaging with me. What started as some casual Instagram stories has now become my unofficial fashion and culture blog, "According to Em." It is so rewarding to watch the "A2E" community grow and I love the opportunity I've been given to connect with others online and watch them develop a deeper appreciation for the artistry and history behind fashion.

A huge influence on my work is my mother. I aspire to use my gifts and skills to glorify God and bring joy to those around me as generously as she does. Much of my design knowledge and inspiration comes from her, and we often collaborate on ideas, running our projects and designs by each other for insight and feedback. My mother is one of our lead graphic designers, and together, we form a design duo that brings a wealth of experience and creativity to every project.

After seeing how well we work together, we decided to make it official and rebranded our business to Em & M Studio. It’s been such a joy watching this business grow, and I’m excited for the future as we continue to collaborate, create, and inspire throughout central Mississippi.
